MS/HS Fall Sports Registration Due by August 9

As we prepare for another exciting school year, the Prospect Ridge Academy Department of Athletics would like to remind parents that registration for 2024 fall sports, middle school and high school, is due by Friday, August 9.

Fall sports include football, volleyball, cheer, boys soccer, girls and boys cross country, boys tennis and boys golf.

Elementary school intramural sports registration is open through Tuesday, August 13th.

PRA Partners with St. Vrain Valley Schools Nutrition Service

Nutrition Update

Prospect Ridge Academy is excited to announce a new partnership with St. Vrain Valley Schools Nutrition Service as the lunch provider ahead of the 2024-25 school year.

More information regarding the new lunch program will be released by PRA when it is available. A list of full menu items and more information will also be provided to parents at the K12 Check-In Fair on Monday, August 12.

As we prepare for the 2024-25 school year, Prospect Ridge Academy is excited to welcome students and parents back to campus for the annual K12 Check-In Fair on Monday, August 12th. In an effort to streamline the event, and to accommodate parental feedback, the check-in fair will be a one-day event this year and is separate from Miner Merge.

The K12 Check-In Fair is strongly encouraged for all elementary, returning middle school and returning high school students. This event is welcome to all families. Click here for more event details.

Just a reminder that you can pre-order your 2024-25 student photos through Dorian Studio!

Click here to fill out your pre-order form.

For returning students, photos will be taken on Monday, August 12th during the K12 Check-In Fair. These photos will be used for student IDs and are mandatory for high school students.

If your students are participating in Miner Merge on Tuesday, Aug 13th, as part of the event, new to middle school and new to high school students will get their student photos taken during that time.

Summer Hours

Just a reminder our adjusted summer office hours are still in effect until Aug. 9. Beginning August 12, office hours: 7:45 am. - 3:45 p.m.

Coffee & Doughnuts with F.A.S.T Team: Join your fellow PRA community members for coffee and doughnuts, hosted by F.A.S.T., the morning of Friday, Aug. 16. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. in the K8 courtyard.

Miner Gold Rush and Fall Festival Tickets Available: Join us and the rest of the PRA community on Saturday, September 28th as we kick off another school year by bringing our families together for a fun day of community building. Back to School BINGO: Have fun with your family, play BINGO and win prizes during Back to School BINGO night on Wednesday, August 28 (6-8 p.m.)! All proceeds go to fund the F.A.S.T. service and appreciation events. Click here for more information on Back to School Bingo.

Miners at the Rockies: Head down to Coors Field with your fellow PRA Miners to watch the Rockies face the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, Sept. 1. Tickets now available for purchase. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m.

ES Fall Sports Registration Due By Aug. 13

Registration is currently open for PRA Elementary Intramural Sports Registration through Tuesday, August 13th. To get your young Miner registered, click here and visit the official PRA Athletic website. (ES Intramural registration is located under the MORE tab)

Teams will be finalized by August 16th. The fall season will run from mid-August through mid-October.

Yoga Stars Classes to Open in August

Yoga Stars, presented by Stretch-n-Grow, is open to K-5th Graders and is a 10-week program, beginning on Thursday, August 22nd.

Stretch-n-Grow is a kid's fitness and wellness organization that offers programs to encourage healthy habits.

PRA's Yoga Stars sessions run from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. each Thursday and cost $209 per session with a $25 registration fee.

Elementary School Open House (August 12)

Held on the same day as the Check-In Fair, the Elementary School Open House is designed for elementary students and families to have the opportunity to visit their classrooms, meet the teachers, and bring in their personal school supplies.

The Open House runs between 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

Boohoo Yahoo Kindergarten Coffee (August 14)

Stick around after drop-off for our annual Boohoo Yahoo Event as a chance to celebrate, or mourn, your child's first day of school and make connections with other parents in the kindergarten class.

The Middle School Miner Merge is for all 6th graders, as well as 7th and 8th graders who are new to PRA. This event gives new middle schoolers an opportunity to meet fellow students, staff and become acquainted with the building.

In order to manage the volume of requests we are receiving, the form needs to be completed (by the student) so it does not get lost in email. Your counselor will reach out to you if there are any questions or issues.

High School Schedule Change Request Form

To request a schedule change please visit the PRA website and complete the appropriate form. In order to manage the volume of requests we are receiving, the form needs to be completed (by the student) so it does not get lost in email. Your counselor will reach out to you if there are any questions or issues. 

If you are requesting to drop a pre-approved AP course that you did not drop in March, you will need to wait until the 15 day drop period to request the change.

PRA Boys Golf alum Walker Franklin Qualifies for 60th Annual Colorado Open

Prospect Ridge Academy graduate Walker Franklin qualified for one of the premier golf tournaments in the state, earning a spot in the $250,000 Inspirato Colorado Open, played last Thursday through Sunday at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club.

Franklin, a senior at UTSA, made the cut and finished in a tie for 69th overall at +1 (285) out of a 144-player field that featured professionals and amateurs.

These forms have historically been available in paper form only. This has changed for the 24-25 school year and will only be available via Cheddar Up.
