Sign Up For Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences

The 2025 spring semester Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, February 13 (8 a.m.- 6 p.m.) More information, along with the SignUp Genius links, can be found in our news story here.

Please note there will be no school for students on this day. However, students should plan to attend conferences with their parents. High school teachers will be available in-person from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and virtually from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

K-8 conferences will be held in-person from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Collection Challenge for 2025 Miner Mania Ends Feb. 6

Miner Mania February 20, 2025

The 2025 Miner Mania is in full swing! PRA is excited to be partnering with A Precious Child for this year’s annual K-12 service event, held on Thursday, February 20.

All donations from this year’s Miner Mania go towards providing Colorado children with resources to achieve their full potential. The Collection Challenge is open through Thursday, February 6.

Call for Board of Director Applicants

Call for Board of Director Applicants / Due by Feb. 19

The PRA Board of Directors has four board positions open for the 2025/2026 school year. The Board is especially seeking applicants with legal/governance backgrounds. Candidates/Board Members do not need to be the parent or guardian of a PRA student. The term length for these openings is 2 years.

Submissions are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19. For more information, read the full letter from the Board of Directors here.

International Festival and Schedule Change on Thursday, Feb. 6

International Festival

On Thursday, February 6, PRA High School is hosting its annual International Festival during Peaks. For that day, the PRA block schedule will be as follows:

Period 2: 8:15 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Period 4: 9:50 a.m. - 11:20 a.m.
Period 8: 11:25 a.m. - 12:55 p.m.
Period 6: 1:40 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Please note the exchanging of periods 6 and 8. Students will have a recipe with ingredients displayed clearly on their board and have been advised on safe preparation. We still recommend that students with allergies proceed with great caution as they try things at the festival.

Staff Appreciation Week Sign Ups Are Live

Staff Appreciation Week / Garden Party / February 10th - 12th / TIME: 11AM - 2PM / PRA Staff Lounge / Monday - Sweet & Savory Brunch / Tuesday - Sandwiches & Soups - Wednesday - Stock the Lounge / Our teachers and staff are "Tea-riffic"!

PRA's upcoming "Garden Party" Staff Appreciation Week is scheduled for February 10-12. Want to help make this event a success? You can sign up to volunteer using the links below!

PRA Model UN Food Fundraiser: PRA Model United Nations is excited to announce that the team will be hosting a fundraiser at Panda Express (16816 Sheridan Pkwy Broomfield, CO 80023) on Friday, February 7th, all day. If customers mention they are there for the PRA Model UN fundraiser, part of the proceeds will be used to help the team fund an international trip to Japan in April! All support is greatly appreciated!

Letter From Broomfield Health: PRA saw an increase in gastroenteritis illness (GI) among our students last week.

The City of Broomfield Public Health and Environment department prepared a letter regarding guidance and exclusion with Norovirus. Please click on this hyperlink to read the letter.

Don't Forget to Check Lost and Found During Parent-Teacher Conferences: While on campus for Parent-Teacher Conferences, please take a moment to look for missing items in our lost and found areas. There are four primary lost and found areas within the school. They are in the following locations:

- The first floor of the K8 building near the entrance of the K8 commons

- The first floor outside of the K8 and HS gyms

- The second floor of the K8 building near the entrance of the Connector

- On the first floor of the HS building just inside the HS Commons.

As a reminder, please label your child(s) items whenever possible to help reunite the item with its rightful owner!

Rescue Your Gear and Support PRA: In an effort to assist families from having kids’ personal items get lost or donated, PRA has teamed up with Name Bubbles to bring high-quality, affordable personalized labels!

Now through January 31, parents, friends and neighbors can purchase school labels using our link and PRA will receive 20% of the proceeds.

Join F.A.S.T. Team: Want to get more involved with the PRA community? The F.A.S.T. Team (Family Activities & Service Team) is a volunteer group that helps contribute to the incredible community events hosted by PRA. Click here to learn more!

Come to our Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair at PRA from February 10-13, 2025!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to PRA from February 10-13, 2025! To learn about eWallet and find out when you and your student can visit the Book Fair, check out our news story here!

The book fair only runs smoothly with help from our amazing volunteers! You can sign up to come have some fun helping students select and purchase books!

Please note that you must have completed your volunteer training to help at the book fair.

ES Spring Sports Intramural Registration

PRA elementary spring sports registration opens on Friday, January 24 and is due by Monday, February 24. The spring sports seasons will run from March 17-May 17.

Please reach out to Emily Stucky, our K-12 Assistant Athletic Director, with any registration questions.

3rd Grade Field Trip to Gates Planetarium on Thursday, Feb. 6

Our 3rd grade class will be headed to the Gates Planetarium at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science on Thursday, February 6 to take in a planetarium show and experience the exhibits in the museum to support our unit on Astronomy. A permission slip will be sent out closer to the event. This field trip will require a $13 payment.

Yoga Stars Enrichment Program

Stretch n' Grow is offering another session of Yoga Stars for all K-5 students. It began on November 14 and will run through February 27th once per week. Families can still sign up for the remaining classes at a prorated cost. See the flyer for information to sign up.

MS Spring Sports Registration Deadline: February 26

The last day to register for MS spring sports (baseball, girls soccer, girls golf, track and field) is Wednesday, February 26. Please click on this link to start the registration process.

A middle school spring sports parents meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the high school commons

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Applications Process Open

The applications process is open for NJHS! The New Member Candidate Form is due on Monday, February 24, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.

Applications should be filled out by students and turned into Room 1226 in the K8 building. Completion and submission of this form does not guarantee selection. Fill out your application by making a copy here or visit Room 1226 in the K8 building for paper copy of the application form.

MS and HS students will select their elective choices between January 30 and February 5 in Infinite Campus. Instructions will be sent out directly to students the week of January 30.

Winter Dance Set For Saturday, Feb. 1

Winter Dance / City of Stars / February 1, 2025 / 8:00 - 1:00 pm / Ticket Price: $20 / Ticets available online or at the door (cash, check, or card). Non-PRA students will need a guest pass.

The Winter Dance will be held on Saturday, February 1 from 8-11 p.m. The theme is City of Stars. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

Parents who would like to donate food can sign up here. Please bring donations to the high school main office by 3:15 p.m. on Friday, January 31.

"Black Out Night" Basketball Games Tip-Off TOMORROW!

PRA is excited to invite our entire K-12 community to join us on Friday, January 31 for the annual “Black Out Night” basketball games against rival Peak to Peak Charter School.
