K12 Check-In Fair & ES Open House

2025 K12 Check-In Fair

As we prepare for the 2025-26 school year, PRA is excited to welcome students and parents back to campus for the annual K12 Check-In Fair. This event is mandatory for all elementary, all returning middle school and all returning high school students, as well as families. Click this link to learn more!

In an effort to streamline the event, the Check-In Fair and Elementary Open House will again be a one-day event this year and is separate from Monday's Miner Merge event.

Miner Merge is for Rising 6th and 9th Graders, as well as any middle school and high school students who are new to PRA for the 2025-26 school year.

Register for Miner Gold Rush Today!

15th Annual Miner Gold Rush is on Saturday, October 4, 2025

Online registration is currently open for the 15th annual Miner Gold Rush and Fall Festival event, scheduled for Saturday, October 4. Click on this link to sign up today during the Early Bird window!

For those new to the PRA community, MGR and Fall Festival kicks off the school year by bringing our families together for a fun day of community building. The Fall Festival will include entertainment options such as Mining for Gold, carnival games, face painting, a dunk tank, as well as the return of the Ninja Nation obstacle course!

We’re excited to offer a wide range of Family Sponsorship levels, featuring perks such as race vouchers, unique PRA swag, event recognition and more!

K12 News & Notes

Adams 12 Check-In: Adams 12 Online Check-in is open July 14 through August 7th to confirm address, emergency contacts and some additional information. Please refer to the Adams12 website for more information.

Class Schedules & Teacher Assignments: Class schedules and teacher assignments will be available in Infinite Campus at the beginning of August for families that have completed the Adams 12 Five Star School's online check-in process for their child(ren). You will receive an email from Adams 12 once schedules and teacher assignments are live. 

Prospect Ridge Academy's Tutoring List: Parents, if you are interested in tutoring opportunities over the summer for your child, please contact the K8 office 720-399-0300 and they will provide you with information of the staff members that are available.

School Supplies Lists: Each grade level's personal supplies, and the universal Community Supplies lists, are available on the summer grade level pages:

School Meal Registration: PRA Families, registration for school meals for the 2025–2026 school year is now open! Please note that the registration website has changed. All students who plan to receive school-provided lunches must be registered through this site.

Elementary Open House: Tuesday, Aug. 12

Elementary Open House

Held on the same day as the Check-In Fair, the Elementary School Open House is designed for elementary students and families to have the opportunity to visit their classrooms, meet the teachers, and bring in their personal school supplies.

The event hours are 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12.

Ms. Preusser, HS English Teacher, to Host New Book Launch Events

Congratulations to PRA High School english teacher Heather Preusser on the launch of her second book in her Hedgehog Whodunit series!

Ms. Preusser is inviting the PRA community to join her at a few upcoming events, celebrating the launch of the new book 𝙃𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙜 𝙒𝙝𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩:𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧, at local libraries and bookstores. The new book has also been selected as an Amazon editors' pick this month for ages 6-8!

New K-8 Math Curriculum

An exciting new math curriculum will kick-off in the classroom for grades K-8 beginning in the 2025-26 school year! For more specific details regarding this new math curriculum please take a minute to look through the applicable family guide.

2nd-A1 (Middle School) Family Guide

During PRA's Back to School night on Tuesday, August 26th for elementary (K-5th grade, 4:30-5:45 p.m.) and middle school (6-8 p.m.), a short slideshow spotlighting this new classroom math curriculum will be available to attend every 20-30 minutes in the Elementary School Intervention Classroom.

Carol Wright, the K-8th Grade Math Specialist, will be available to field questions and provide the community a glimpse of the resources available to students, staff, and the community.

7th & 8th Grade Executive Function Bootcamp

Due to popular demand, PRA will be offering an Executive Function Bootcamp for 7th- and 8th-grade students on Tuesday, August 5th, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

In this interactive course, students will learn and practice research-based strategies to develop effective study habits and essential learning skills. The boot camp focuses on building a strong foundation for academic success and lifelong learning.

During the session, students will review and strengthen key Executive Function skills, including:

  • Organizational Skills

  • Planning & Time Management

  • Self-Advocating

  • Getting Started on Tasks

Executive Function Bootcamp for Incoming 6th Graders

This summer, PRA is thrilled to introduce its very first Executive Functioning (EF) Bootcamp for all incoming 6th graders! Five sessions will be offered between July 28-31. We strongly encourage all 6th graders to participate in this fantastic opportunity.

As students transition to middle school, they will benefit from a dedicated Executive Function (EF) course designed to equip them with essential skills for success. This course will incorporate research-based strategies and techniques to foster effective studying and learning habits. During the bootcamp, students will develop vital Executive Function skills that not only enhance their academic performance but also build a foundation for lifelong learning.

Rising 8th Grade Parents - Get Recognition Ads for the Cheapest Price Now!

Parents of rising 8th grade students, congratulate your 8th grader in their 2026 yearbook! Receive an early bird discount for ads completed with payment by October 31, 2025.

The final deadline to submit and pay for an ad at the regular price is November 18, 2025.

You will receive detailed information in the fall, or you can visit TheYearbookCompany.com. Online ordering will be available beginning July 15, 2025.

College Admissions Bootcamp

July 28-August 1 / College Bootcamp with Dr. LeCarner

This summer (July 28-August 1) rising seniors (Class of 2026) have the opportunity to participate in an intensive week-long college admissions bootcamp workshop with Dr. LeCarner.

The Bootcamp will take place at PRA in the high school library from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the fee for the Bootcamp is $500. For more information, visit our news story here. To sign up, click here.

GLC Openings for 2025-26 School Year

HS GLCs Needed For 2025-26

PRA is currently looking for new two high school Grade Level Coordinators (GLCs) for the 2025-26 school year.

There are open positions for the 9th Grade and 11th Grade GLC roles and PRA would prefer to have parent volunteer representation for those two grades. However, any high school parent is encouraged to apply for the vacant GLC positions. Please fill out this Google Form if interested.

MS and HS Fall Sports Registration Due by August 8

Calling all PRA Middle School and High School student-athletes! Registration for fall sports is now OPEN and can be completed online at this link.

The due date to register for fall sports is Friday, August 8th. If your student is interested in FOOTBALL or BOYS GOLF, the due date to register is Friday, August 1st.

The Prospect Ridge Academy Athletic Department is excited to welcome Rylie Tanoura as the next head coach of the PRA High School boys’ golf program ahead of the 2025-26 school year. Click here to read more!
