PRA is excited to celebrate our Class of 2025 graduates at our Commencement Ceremony this Saturday, May 17 from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Congratulations to all of our graduates! We are so proud of all of you and cannot wait to celebrate our graduating seniors with their families this Saturday. If you are unable to attend, a live stream of the ceremony will be available on YouTube.
Parents, as we prepare for the final few weeks of the 2024-25 school year, please read this letter from K-12 Nurse, Jennifer Francis, regarding medication pick-up, immunization reminders, new medication forms for 2025-26, as well as clothing needs for next school year.

PRA is currently looking for new Grade Level Coordinators (GLCs) for the 2025-26 school year for the following classes:
Class of 2030 (rising 8th graders) (1-2)
Class of 2029 (rising 9th graders) (2)
Class of 2027 (rising 11th graders) (2)
These parent volunteers assist with coordinating events, communications with parents, and assisting parents to improve organizational efficiency. Click to read the full news story.

5th & 8th Grade Continuation: The 5th and 8th Grade Continuation ceremonies are scheduled for Wednesday, May 21! An email with event timelines and a map for event entry was emailed to 5th and 8th grade families on Wednesday, May 7.

PRA Host Families Needed: Nonprofit EF High School Exchange Year (EF) is looking for caring volunteer Prospect Ridge Academy host families for EF international students that will arrive to Colorado in August 2025.

It's that time of year again! ALL library books are due the week of May 12-16 during library class. Students can return their books to the classroom or the library.
During the week (5/12-5/16) students will have the opportunity to bring home a book that has been discarded from the library. You will know this book does not need to be returned because the barcode will be blacked out. This book is now yours to enjoy at home and pass along to someone else when you are done with it!
We are so excited to welcome a new batch of Middle School Miners! As we all start looking ahead to next school year, please see the linked slide deck presentation for information key to all new middle school families.
View the presentation here. Our Middle School Counselor, Mr. Eaker, will be hosting an in-person Q&A on Monday, May 12, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. He will also host a virtual Q&A at a later date for those unable to attend.
Want to play a band or orchestra instrument? This is the place for you! Students tried some instruments this past week and were sent home with flyers on where to get instruments. If your student would like to OPT into band or orchestra for next year, please fill out this form.
Please note that there will not be lunch service on Elementary Field Day on Tuesday, May 20. Please plan to send a lunch with your child on that day.

This summer, PRA is thrilled to introduce its very first Executive Functioning (EF) Bootcamp for all incoming 6th graders! We strongly encourage all 6th graders to participate in this fantastic opportunity.
As students transition to middle school, they will benefit from a dedicated Executive Function (EF) course designed to equip them with essential skills for success. This course will incorporate research-based strategies and techniques to foster effective studying and learning habits. During the boot camp, students will develop vital Executive Function skills that not only enhance their academic performance but also build a foundation for lifelong learning. Don't miss out on this chance to empower your child as they embark on their middle school journey!

Finals Week is scheduled for May 19-23. Student dismissal is at 11:20 a.m. Monday-Wednesday of Finals Week and at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, unless a student has scheduled a make-up exam with a teacher for that day.

With finals right around the corner, the counseling department wants to remind all students that stress and anxiety are normal. Try these techniques to manage and reduce anxiety, and study smarter this finals season!
Field day for 6th grade, and the 7th grade Picnic, is on Friday May 16!
Students will go to all classes in the morning 1st-7th period before lunch (short class periods).
Please check the weather. If it’s light rain and no lightning then we are on! Rain jackets would be helpful. If the weather is too bad we will have to cancel. Students will do fun alternate activities inside classrooms. Reminder: All students attending must have all required service hours completed.
Kona Ice is coming to Field Day and the Picnic! Students must pre-purchase Kona Ice and they can order one for a friend!

Parents of rising 8th grade students, congratulate your 8th grader in their 2026 yearbook! Receive an early bird discount for ads completed with payment by October 31, 2025.
The final deadline to submit and pay for an ad at the regular price is November 18, 2025.

We are thrilled to celebrate the end of an amazing school year with our 8th graders at Boondocks! This special field trip is a way to recognize their hard work, growth, and accomplishments as they get ready to take the next step in their academic journey.
This field trip will take place on Friday, May 16 at Boondocks (11425 Community Center Dr, Northglenn, CO). Students will depart on the school bus at 9:30 a.m. and students will be picked up directly from Boondocks by a parent or authorized adult by 2:00 p.m. Visit this Cheddar Up link to complete the permission slip and registration.

This summer (July 28-August 1) rising seniors (Class of 2026) have the opportunity to participate in an intensive week-long college admissions bootcamp workshop with Dr. LeCarner.
The Bootcamp will take place at PRA in the high school library from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the fee for the Bootcamp is $500. For more information, visit our news story here. To sign up, click here.

The PRA High School track and field programs will be sending a total of 17 student-athletes to the 2025 CHSAA Track and Field Championships, held this Thursday-Saturday (May 15-17) at Jeffco Stadium in Lakewood.
Action gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Final events begin at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday, with a special graduation ceremony by CHSAA honoring senior student-athletes beginning at 12:30 p.m. prior to competition. The PRA High School baseball team will begin its postseason run this weekend down in Colorado Springs! The Miners earned the No. 9 seed, the highest in program history, and will take on No. 24 seed Salida at 1:30 p.m. on The Classical Academy campus. Click here for full story.

Congratulations to our PRA High School girls' golf team on a strong Class 2A Region 2 performance!
Senior golfer Hope Torres won the tournament as an individual, while the trio of Saya Neima, Ye Yoon Choi and Ashley Dinges all earned qualifying spots for next week's Class 2A State Tournament, as well!
The Class 2A State Tournament will be held May 19-20 at Pueblo Country Club.
Congratulations to the PRA girls' tennis team for earning the program's first ever Class 3A runner-up finish this week.
The Miners gave top-seed Peak to Peak all it could handle in the Class 3A Championship match, falling by a narrow 4-3 final. Click here to read more.

The PRA Athletic Department would like to congratulate our high school girls’ soccer team on a tremendous and record-setting 2025 season!
Our Miners finished the season 14-4 overall and advanced all the way to the Class 3A Tournament quarterfinals. PRA also set a program record with an 11-0 start to the season and a run up to the No. 1 ranking in Class 3A earlier this spring.
